Arise, Shine and Tebowing

I would like to thank our beloved pastor for sharing this to us during our Sunday service. It was indeed a great message. It’s worth to be shared here.

ARISE and SHINE

Matthew 5:16

New International Version (NIV)

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

As children of God, our ultimate goal is to praise our Father in Heaven.

How do we do this? We have to be the LIGHT of the world. We have to be SERVANT LEADERS.

L. I. G. H. T.

1. L- Love the Lord.

Let us love our Father in Heaven above all else. We receive God by drawing near to God.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

2. I- Imagine

A dream starts with an imagination and/or inspiration.

Ephesians 3:20

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

3. G- Give 100%

Give your very best. Do it from your heart.

Colossians 3:23

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

4. H- Stay Humble

Value others.

                                              Philippians 2:3

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

5. T- Turn to Jesus

Our Father in Heaven is always with us. We just have to ask for His presence and keep the faith.

Matthew 11:28

Hebrews 12:2

TEBOWING

Well, I was never been a foot ball fan. It was my first time to hear his name. Thank you Sunday Service and Pastor Ronnie for introducing Mr.  Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow was a college sophomore when he won the Heisman trophy (for outstanding all around player) as a quarter back.  In 2008, he led his team to victory in the BSC National Championship game.

Aside from being popular in his field, he is also known as a devoted Christian. Tebow has also become recognized in the field because of his “Tebowing”- dropping to one knee in prayer with his head resting on one hand. Even if others are mocking him because of his belief, he continued his passion for Christ.  Tim Tebow founded the Tim Tebow Foundation in January 2010.  Tim Tebow is one of the representations of excellence and light. He is an inspiration to everyone.

Let us desire God to live in us. Let us arise and shine. Let us drop our knee to pray and ask for more of Him in our life. Let us- NOW!
